Back in 1988, Rob Lowe was the 22-year-old prince of the Brat Pack, and accidentally found himself starring in what many consider the first official celebrity sex tape.
A video reportedly showing Lowe having a threesome with two young girls, one of whom was 16, emerged at the height of his fame, clouding his charm and likeability temporarily. He maintains that he thought both women were over 21 at the time and, in 2011, the actor told Oprah Winfrey, "It ends up being the greatest thing that ever happened to me." Why? He credits the scandal with fast-tracking him on the road toward sobriety.
Eric Dane & Rebecca Gayheart
They may be married, but in 2009, Rebecca Gayheart and Eric "McSteamy" Dane filmed themselves not only nude, but having fun naked times with a former pageant girl named Kari-Ann Paniche.
Dane is overheard on the tape declaring himself the king of "Cocaine Manor," and announcing that his alter ego is named "Peter." Fortunately, the three former friends managed to simply put out statements through spokespeople and let the whole thing fade into Hollywood history.

Kim Kardashian isn't the only one to have a dirty secret in her past.
Just last year, news of a sex tape starring Kanye West and a fan of Yeezy's emerged, including the fact that West's sex partner-in-crime looked remarkably like his girlfriend and soon-to-be baby momma. The 20-minute tape was briefly shopped around, and West was said to be "freaking out" because of how the footage–in which the Kardashian look-alike says that she is 18-years-old and married–would upset his Armenian love.
But maybe it had the opposite effect, considering how soon afterward Kimye announced their baby news!

The E! personality actually meant for her 15-second hardcore sex tape to be seen by many–but not necessarily the entire world.
She included the clip in a demo tape she made as part of the Hollywood audition process before becoming famous. In a lighthearted statement to RadarOnline, who first reported the tape, Handler amusingly said, "I put it on an audition tape for a comedy club, because I'm a comedian, and I've been showing it at birthday parties for f**king years!" Hey, as long as she's laughing!
Britney Spears
Right on the heels of her spectacular public breakdown, a newly bald Britney Spears found herself at the center of a sex tape scandal. Her former manager, Adnan Ghalib, was rumored to be selling a two-hour tape of himself and Spears having sex while she wore a hot pink wig.
He later denied the existence of the tape entirely, but only after alleged clips of the fallen pop star showed up on various pornographic hubs online.
Tyson Beckford
One of the few stars to actually star in a sex tape solo, the ridiculously handsome Tyson Beckford admitted to the authenticity of a short and racy tape last year.
The short clip shows the model involved in, um, self-pleasure while video-chatting with a female model online. He 'fessed up on Twitter, warning his fans, "Not much of a sex tape lol."
